Steve Martinez

Steve Martinez has been a cornerstone of the construction industry for over two decades, dedicating 27 years to the field and 24 of those to Tradewinds. Ascending from a key role to owner within six years, Steve has led the company for the past 18 years with visionary leadership and a commitment to excellence.

With a BA in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing from Boise State University, Steve is also a Certified Master Builder. His multifaceted role at Tradewinds involves client relations, business development, creative planning, interior design, and steering the company's growth. Steve's leadership has seen Tradewinds construct award-winning parade homes and innovative projects featuring unique amenities like bowling alleys, rock climbing walls, and more, alongside developments in commercial, multifamily, and hillside construction.

Steve's professional skills are dominated by exceptional people management and communication abilities, critical in a field characterized by complex, dynamic projects. His ability to foresee project outcomes from conceptual sketches significantly enhances the building process, ensuring smoother operations and superior end products.

His achievements include numerous awards such as Spike of the Year, Builder of the Year multiple times from both local and state building associations, and national recognition from the National Association of Homebuilders. Steve is a member of several prestigious construction organizations, including the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho and the National Association of Home Builders.

Steve's professional philosophy focuses on journeying with clients from project inception to beyond completion, emphasizing effective communication, complete customization, and meticulous attention to detail. He believes in over-delivering on excellence, treating every project as if it were his own home. 

Outside the office, Steve is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting, fishing, and hiking. His passion for travel reflects his love for exploring diverse cultures, adding a well-rounded perspective to his personal and professional life.
